Based on the revised translation of the Mass, this four part program takes participants on an exciting tour of the Liturgy as it explores the biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. See, perhaps for the first time, why we say what we say and do what we do every week at Mass. The words and gestures will be seen in a new light, giving new life to the liturgical experience. The Great Adventure: A Journey through the Bible
This is a 24 week study to help you lay down the “train tracks” to set your route through the Bible. The process will help you in the following ways:
- Identify the “14 narriative books” of the bible and show how the remaining fifty-nine books fit in.
- Divide salvation history into twelve identifiable periods.
- Explain how God’s plan unfolded through the forging of a series of covenants so that you can understand not just the story, but where it is going and how you fit into it.
- Give you memory aids
- Give you a plan for reading through the fourteen narrative bookds on your own and ways for continuing your reading beyond that.
This is a study session using study materials A Bibletimeline workbook with responses, New American Bible, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (can be found online).
