Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth. Edge brings 6th-8th grade together in a dynamic and engaging setting with small group interaction allows for the presentation of Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand.

At Immaculate Conception and St. Patrick grades six, seven, and eight will be together in a large group setting. The Edge program is a three year curriculum with each of the six semesters corresponding to a section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Each Edge lesson is structured like the Mass with a Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send, incorporating dynamic and engaging large and small group interaction, lead by a core team of adults dedicated to our youth. Throughout the year our youth will encounter Christ through each other, the core team, personal reflection, and the sacraments as well as be inspired to live out their Catholic Faith in our parish and larger community.

Theology of the Body will be one of the semesters in the Edge three year curriculum cycle. With Saint John Paul II’s compelling vision for love and life, and a language they understand, Theology of the Body for Teens answers the questions teens and pre-teens have about their own bodies, issues on sexual morality, and how they are uniquely created for greatness.
